Coolsculpting @Clique Clinic PJ, Malaysia : Fat loss treatment targeting flanks

If you have been following my blog, you would have noticed I’ve been more “liberal” picture sharing of myself lately.
My new hairstyle did gave me a boost of confidence, and a strict diet + workout regime gave me the toned body I wanted.
Yet, like I had admitted before, my  thighs remained a sore point for me.
The initial Coolsculpting procedure went better than I expected (read about it –> HERE) and I’ve successfully lost significant centimetres on the widest circumferences of my thighs.

How does the Grayns rice cooker works & questions

Ever since I shared on my facebook, facebook page and Instagram about GRAYNS, I have had my fair share of curious questions and hard criticisms about its technology.
Some of these were from parties who are genuinely interested/curious or concerned about the health benefits and the cost/logic of purchasing this machine, while others are simply those who are being too-smart-for-their-own-good and are quick to dismiss anything without prior reading/research or tests.

I for one, chose to stay neutral until I have experienced or seen concrete evidence of its claims.
And to validate these claims I’m looking forward to test it out on via blood glucose monitoring devices and I’m looking to host a demo with some interested friends/fans/readers next week so we can all experiment on it together!

Now drop me a comment here if you’re keen to be a guinea pig! 🙂

Life Juice Co @ 1 Utama – cold pressed juice in Malaysia

What makes cold pressed juice unique?
In convention blending and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables are being cut and ground by fast-spinning blades. This process adds some heat and exposes ingredients to air; two things that cut down the percentage of essential nutrients that make their way into your glass.
This “rough” action also destroys many of the vitamins, enzymes, proteins, and minerals that we want from our juice.

Here’s what you need to know:
Traditional juicers/ centrifugal models – juicers/blenders.
Masticating juicer – cold pressed juicers.

Now that you got a general idea of the different models, let me explain a bit more about cold pressed goodness. 😀

Masticating juicers extract juice by a slow and careful process of hydraulically extracting fruit and vegetable juice (pressing and grinding fruits and vegetables without adding heat, hence the term “cold-pressed”) and this process exerts just enough pressure to extract the juice.

Cold press juicing is so precise with its process of extraction that there is minimal air and heat so very little oxidation occurs.
This means you can enjoy your cold pressed juice up to 3 days after extraction, all the while preserving its vitamins, enzymes, trace minerals and overall nutrients up to five times more than any other juicer.

Review – Luna Bar : Blueberry Bliss

This Luna Bar is one of the tastiest snack bar I’ve had. Well, anything at this point would taste better than a Quest Bar.
I’m not saying I don’t like Quest Bars, but Quest Bars are SO SERIOUS..so nutritionally dense and so … CHEWY.

But the Luna Bar isn’t a bar I would call ‘healthy’ no matter what they claim. It even said “whole nutrition bar for women” and while I concurred on how tasty it is and that a vast majority of women would love it since it’s all fruity, sweet and coated with yogurt, I’m not that forgiving of the sweetness level.

Lenny & Larry’s Fit Protein Brownie – Chocolate Raspberry Review

As you know I got home from my recent Singapore trip with a stash of protein bars and cookies and whatever else.
This is a little experiment that I’m doing; testing out these protein snacks to see if they actually work (ie most claim to keep you full) and if they actually taste as good as advertised.

After 3 Quest bars I’m more or less inclined to conclude that Quest Bars are chewy bricks (they are really dense & sticky) and some more delicious than others.
I still have 9 bars more to go so I’m taking it slow.

Quest Bar – Apple Pie Flavour
Quest Bar – Banana Nut Muffin Flavour

Luna Bar and Clif Bars are nice but they are loaded with sugar, almost as much as the amount of protein they claim to stuff within each bar.

The Lenny & Larry’s Fit Protein Brownie is fudgy, soft and moist.
The bits of raspberry added a nice fruity sweetness to the overall chocolate taste.

Quest Bar Review: Day 3 – Banana Nut Muffin flavour

After the Boundless Nutrition Perfect Cookie (Chocolate Chip) and the Quest Bar (Apple Pie flavour), I moved on to the Banana Nut Muffin Quest Bar.

One of the reasons why I chose the Banana Nut one out from my loot of a dozen bars is because I love bananas and I had hope that this will change my mind about Quest Bars since the Apple Pie one wasn’t really to my liking.
