I have been a regular guest in Essence for years and I have only praises for the buffet.
The fully Halal kitchen prepares buffet breakfast from 6.30am to 10.30am daily, buffet lunch from 12noon to 2.30pm and buffet dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily.
For weekend hi-tea at Essence on Saturday, Sundays and public holidays, it is from 12 noon to 4pm.
Humble. Real. Down to earth.
These adjectives floated to my mind as I observed Carven Ong first few minutes on stage as he was introduced to the audience by the emcee.
Mosaic is Mandarin Oriental’s all day dining venue.
Offering a diversified mix of local and international cuisine, Mosaic’s lunch and dinner buffet are complemented by interactive live cooking stations including grill, wok, noodle and tandoor, plus a large dessert bar.
While I danced for hours in clubs before; rehydrating myself with cold bubbly and margaritas, dancing for 3 hours in the name of charity (kidneys no less) was a first.
Always on the lookout for great or unique cakes, I was floored with the Red Velvet and Hummingbird Cake here at the Urbean, Avenue K.

Last weekend I scored a date night with the melodious and eye-pleasing quartet of Sébastien Izambard, Carlos Marin, David Miller and Urs Bühler; known to the world as Il Divo.
Unfortunately as they left the country they still do not know I exist, but that’s ok.
I have seen them perform live, felt their presence and was serenaded with the most beautiful, pitch perfect vocals.

I had never thought I would attend a Avril Lavigne concert.
Admittedly I did enjoy a few of her songs but I wasn’t exactly a fan.
