After my lunch at Siang @Sogo KL, a friend who read the post told me that there’s a Japanese restaurant on the same floor.

West Lake Garden Chinese Restaurant at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa unveils a new lunch-time a la carte dining experience, this time focusing on dim Sum and other home-style dishes. Diners can expect up to 100 varieties of dim sum all crafted by is the restaurant’s Dim Sum Master Chef Low Kim Ong and his culinary team.
Sushi Hinata – St Mary Residences KL – excellent Japanese sushi & sashimi
I’m quite excited. Other than Ichiro Sushi in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, I think I found another gem for excellent Japanese nigiri and sashimi in KL! 🙂
While it’s true there are many Japanese restaurants in Klang Valley, I’m specifically interested only in those that serves top notch sashimi (fresh seafood) and really good vinegared rice. I want something comparable to what I had in Tsukji Market in Tokyo. Something like what Sushi Dai serves.
Or even Sushi Daiwa, which though it is not as impressive as Sushi Dai, but still good nonetheless.
Sushi Hinata comes close. For a price.
Bluefin Tuna. Maguro, Otoro or Chutoro for you? 🙂

The kampung (village) environment is a bonus and the outlet’s regulars love it precisely for the laid-back ambiance.
It is perfect for those who prefers not to be reminded too much of the city.
