Long after many had missed the iconic rice burgers of MOS Burger and after years of having to travel out of Malaysia for our rice burger fix, Sushi King took the plunge and bought back the beloved rice burgers for us!
Everland Resort is a theme park in Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea, an approximately 2 hours by land travel from Seoul city.
It’s advisable to arrive early (by 10am) as there are so many attractions and some of these have very long queues so it is not possible to explore every single one of them unless you’re early into the park and the last to leave!

The route from Samcheong-dong to Insa-dong is sheltered on both sides by trees and with the mild Korean weather, it made for a very pleasant short stroll.
After 5 trips to Korea (3 to Seoul, 1 Jeju Island & 1 Busan), I think I’m finally getting a hang of the areas in Seoul. I said specifically Seoul because I always had to stopover & stay a day or 2 before moving on to Busan/Jeju and I have explored Seoul more than any other areas in Korea.
2 charming (but be forewarned that they are as touristy as well), urban yet nostalgic areas that any visitor to Seoul should visit are Samcheong-dong & Insa-dong.
Samcheong-dong is a few minutes walk from Insa-dong so you can hit 2 birds with one stone and spend half a day here. It’s best to go early if you’re the sort to appreciate quieter streets and less crowd but if you’re in the mood for the bustling and lively scene then afternoons and evenings are best.
The area gets lighted up and the atmosphere is significantly more spirited.
I was there twice (last year & this year again) and on both accounts it was early in the morning. It is really serene and almost therapeutic to walk here at such early hours.

Mohd Raffe Restaurant began business since 1959 in Batu Gantong, the racecourse in Penang and subsequently moved to Pulau Tikus in 1998.
This 24 hours shoplot outlet is small and is only ventilated by fans. The ambiance is typical of a mamak shop; casual dining atmosphere, bustling with diners and workers and alive with chatter.
In the evenings, tables are set up on the shoplot’s walkway and on the street just in front of it to accommodate more customers and also for the open air dining atmosphere.
With the amount of chicken rice stalls in coffeeshops, chicken rice speciality outlets, chicken rice sold in food courts (I like the one at Pavilion) and chicken rice on the menu of hotels and restaurants, it is baffling why I can’t seem to get decent chicken rice in the city.
Well, you can pay RM30++ for a good chicken rice in Magenta in Publika, or in Grand Hyatt KL or even splurge on a RM75++ Hainanese Chicken Rice in Majestic Hotel KL.
But what about good chicken rice within RM10?
I have my favourites in PJ & TTDI. Not the best I reckon, but for a quick chicken rice fix I’ll just head to Restaurant OK in TTDI, a mere 5 mins ride from my home & tapau (takeaway) a RM10 chicken + roast pork + char siew + duck rice.
So looking for the BEST chicken rice in town isn’t my priority.
Still, with a new project coming up one of my tasks was to find a really good chicken rice to feature/write about.
Cheap and delicious food in a clean dining environment. That’s exactly what a diner can expect from Makan Place food court in Mid Valley.
While food and beverages in shopping malls can’t be expected to be hawker prices, the Makan Place proves it’s unique and offers exactly that.
