Contrary to what some may think, leaving my job wasn’t an easy decision. I wasn’t exactly rejoicing in triumph. I left with a heavy heart.
But I walked out knowing I have done my best, and accepted that there are times when one has to admit defeat & this is one of them. Some things are just not within my field or control to change.

Anyhow, when things gets low, desserts are the way to go. (Eh, it rhythms!! )
I have heard of how Empire Shopping Gallery has become THE place for desserts, which is true, considering the amount of eateries here that specialised in sweets & pretty pastries.

This time round I decided to check out The Vanilla Place.

Got my grubby hands on a new toy 2 weeks back! It’s the new Samsung Galaxy S2!

I have been an Android fan for sometime, and at one point of my life I owned 2 Androids simultaneously (HTC Desire courtesy of the Maxis10 program). My Nexus One was my favourite for a while before I switched phones as I love playing around with new models & different OS platforms.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is the latest “Oh-my-gawd ” gadget to hit the world. My unit was on loan from Samsung Malaysia for 2 weeks, enabling me to get first hand experience “owning” this device touted as “the handset that that set new standards for the high-end Android range” (quoted from Phone Arena).

So, is the phone as good as it’s hype?

Horse Beach Rides – Melbourne, Australia.

There was no end to the fun I had during my Australia trip earlier this February. Another first-time occurrence I had experienced then was horse riding along the beach on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne. This wasn’t my virginal horse ride as I have rode on a horse before…

Meet the dashing Chef Jason Koppinger from US!

A man who absolutely adores Asian food & is head- over- heels crazy about chillies!

I had the honour of initiating him to our chilli pan mee last week & he sampled both Kin Kin & Super Kitchen for lunch on the very same day. He had a blast loading his bowl with Kin Kin’s legendary dry chilli & didn’t break a sweat chowing down the whole bowl!
While he loved Kin Kin for the heat; like me he much preferred Super Kitchen’s version.
Both of us agreed that though Super Kitchen’ chilli doesn’t pack that much of a heat, it was a much better bowl of pan mee overall, in terms of the flavours from each of its’ component (the minced meat, the soup, the sauce ) & the noodles’ texture was just beautifully chewy with a bit of bite. It’s cheaper too, at RM4.80 versus Kin Kin’s RM5.80 per bowl.

I don’t know about you, but as a gourmand I’m ~~blardy excited~~ thrilled with the upcoming Midsummer Nights Feast, especially so with the feature of a 3-Star Michelin Chef Benoit Vidal from France.
