Here I am back with another coffee post! It’s been an interesting journey exploring and learning more about the coffee bean with Kevin. And visiting the mushrooming amount of coffee cafes in KL has become one of our many weekend pursuits.
I have said many times that I loved most of the cakes from Swich Cafe and here’s another of my review in continuous support of their creations. I made another visit soon after the debut of the mangosteen cake (review HERE) for her Avocado Cake and as expected, I wasn’t able to resist the other cakes on display and ended up with an additional Apple and Banana Cake.
Owner Cheng is one of the most creative baker I know and she is tirelessly conceiving new creations almost every week. As of now, she had added Jackfruit Cake, Ciku Yoghurt Cake with Roasted Cashews, Coconut Cashew Cake, durian ice cream and a Durian Ice Cream Pavlova to Swich Cafe menu.
I have been meaning to drop in for her cakes for weeks, but a few untoward incidents had left me in despair for a while and I had temporarily lost my mojo for food hunting. Nevertheless, my cakes obsession had resurfaced recently so I hope to visit Swich latest outlet at Publika Red Bridge soon to sample her new cakes! 🙂
As promised I’m posting on the latest creations of Burger Junkyard – The Blue Paranormia (with blue cheese), Swedish Alps and Mango Whatzapp-bi. My 2nd trip review was just published this morning so you can check out the other 5 burgers we had HERE. So far, we are doing quite well as we are almost done with the whole of their menu! :DD
Somehow I find myself more attracted to Ipoh than any other town in Malaysia. A mix of the familiar, the nostalgic, the modern in addition to the the calm, serene pace, Ipoh is my choice if I need breather from KL.
Walking into Crayon Burger, I was first struck by how large and spacious the outlet is. Well, larger than myburgerlab and Burger Junkyard for sure.
CC had somehow done it again. Just as I thought I had sampled the best of her cakes, she came up with an avocado cake!
Here’s my loot just yesterday, a reward for myself after appearing on Bella Society on NTV7, marking a great start to the year 2013. 🙂

The Brew Culture, facing the main road on Jalan Sri Hartamas seemed easy enough to locate. Would you believe it if we told you it took us 30 minutes wondering around the ground floor to find it?
