The 2015 plan is to stay at one hotel in Singapore per month.
I’ve been making monthly trips to Sg since last year, and then the currency just went unfavorable from month to month so that put a halt to my future trips.
Instead of monthly, I now visit quarterly instead, keeping myself abreast with news, happenings & food trends.
Flights are pretty standard; about M200-250 for KL-SG return.
The hotels however, are a pain in the wallet.
Last month I got to know that HotelQuickly upgraded their app.
Part of my healthy eating/clean eating lifestyle involves a lot of R & D for suitable recipes and the testing of relevant cooking appliances.
I’ve invested in a Thermomix, a Buffalo air fryer, 2 ovens and a GRAYNS rice cooker so far.
I just got myself a Le Creutset cast iron pan, and another cooking appliance I have my eyes on is a sous vide machine.
Considering my preference for round-bodied cars (think the Leaf, Beetle, DS3 – yes FAT, round, CUTE shapes) I surprised myself when I started speculating the thought of owning a Toyota VIOS TRD Sportivo.
No doubt I had enjoyed my time behind the wheel. Likewise also as a passenger.
On one Sunday alone I saw multiple postings on social media by numerous friends about the Yellow Brick Road.
In fact, if I’ve stayed at the cafe from morning til closing, I would have had a mini reunion of sorts, meeting up with all my friends without even having to make any prior plans.
My search for a quiet café away from the favoured areas of Publika, Mont Kiara and Damansara and the usual boisterous crowd yielded some encouraging results recently.
One such cafe is The Curious Goat, nestled in the quiet neighbourhood of Damansara Perdana.
