Acer has just launched their latest ultrabooks range today and as you might be aware, I was an Acer Aspire S3 user prior to this; even an evangelist at the launch stage of Acer’s Ultrabooks campaign.
It was natural that I’m here today to witness the new Acer Aspire S5, and to note the enhancements of the S5 in comparison to the S3.

Yes, it’s been a busy busy month! I was in Tanjong Jara Resort, followed shortly by a week of adventures in Europe (my first time ever, thanks to KLM Airlines!), then Marina Bay Sands (also my first time, thanks to Marina Bay Sands) and finally a beach holiday at Pangkor Laut Resort (thanks to YTL Hotels).
Now, I think I need a vacation from my vacations! 😛
As sit here wondering where to start, I realized I have already kicked things off with a post on Pierre Herme; one of the best patisserie in France; thus now perhaps I should talk about the sights around Europe yeah? 🙂
One of the main reasons why I was flown to Europe was to catch the amazing ONCE IN A DECADE Floriade, a World Horticultural Expo at Venlo, The Netherlands.
Floriade is a horticultural expo, staged once every 10 years that showcases the world’s best flowers, plants, trees, fruits and vegetables.
Here’s an excerpt from CNN; “This is a once in a decade flower show so it’s even more spectacular than Keukenhof, and Keukenhof is already amazing“.
Quite a claim isn’t it? 🙂

My first visit to Armada Hotel for the Valentine Day’s buffet at Armada Hotel earlier in February left a very good impression on me. Prices are considerably reasonable and in tandem with the variety and quantity of food.
The Executive Chef in charge; Chef Chew Teik Chye, whose Hainanese roots has inculcated him with the coveted skills and knowledge of whipping up authentic Hainanese cuisine had very happily asked us all to visit again to sample his Hainanese cooking. So here’s my review of his lip-smacking Hainanese Braised Lamb Chop and fragrant Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Recently, I went for the weekend tea. At RM50++ it was such a steal as it became my late lunch, tea and early dinner!
This was my FIRST Ramadan buffet of the YEAR! Yes I know it seems premature isn’t it? 🙂
Anyhow I’ll never say “ No” to festive seasons and food.
Also, this is my first visit to Melting Pot, Concorde KL, of which I have heard many positive feedback on its food by a close friend of mine who is a regular here due to her work. So I was quite worked up with anticipation! 🙂
Let me start with one of my favourite dish that evening; the Nasi Kerabu with ALL of the essential elements of the dish; from the ‘budu’ (a thick pungent fish sauce) in belacan to the dry grated coconut, everything was available for a complete authentic plate of Nasi Kerabu.

As you know lately I’m have been ramen-fied…like for example hitting 4 ramen outlets in KL within a week and buying truckloads of instant ramen. I have been back to Menya Musashi twice and Yamagoma 3 times since! So yes, my ramen fever has not abated.
Inmy previous post, I did a comparison of all 4; Santouka Ramen in Pavilion, Menya Musashi and Hokkaido Gantetsu in Food Paradise, 1 Utama and Yamagoma Ramen in Solaris Dutamas.
Goku Raku Ramen was not on my list. I first visited them when they were newly opened in Mid Valley but I have not posted about it. And since it was such a long while ago, I paid another visit last week to check it out.
I don’t remember much from my last visit other than it was just so unmemorable that it didn’t leave any impression.
No thanks to a faulty car battery I rushed back from Pangkor for nothing!
Our bloggers IKEA SwedeCook Class was on 7th June evening, and after checking out from Pangkor Laut Resort, I grabbed a quick lunch at Indulgence Ipoh and headed straight for KL. The moment I reached home, I jumped into my car only to find it stubbornly dead.
Too bad my ride from Pangkor has already left, and I was left glaring at the offensive car and dejectedly stayed home that night. Well, I’ve got pictures from the event to show, but missed out on participating.
But no fret cos I’m might taking part in this contest and if I win myself a seat, I’ll pretty much be enjoying the same experience the bloggers below did last week. 🙂

Since my last visit, there have been a few new updates on CuriousCatMy! Have you seen Part 4 of the Curios Cat video series? The new vlog entry absolutely tickled my funny bones.
The 52 seconds long video showed a conversation between a cat (Curious) and a goldfish (Goldie) about the uneven floor tiles in the house. Goldie invited Curious into its bowl because Curious was complaining about how uncomfortable it was to lie on the floor. Curious told Goldie he’s not a fan of waters, and Goldie replied him, “Sure lah, you’re a fan. From where I come from, cats all swim like us. We call them CATFISH.”
