Yes, that was precisely the texture of the stuffed squid we were served.

Over the long Raya holidays, I grabbed the opportunity to catch up with friends over food. The choice of food outlets were obvious; places that serves pork had always ranked highly on my list and any that serves pork burgers will have my dedicated attention.

I’m such a burger addict that I attempt to eat as many burgers (pork burgers preferably) as I could. It’s a personal obsession really; I love bread, I love meat, so burgers to me are just perfect.
If there’s a pork burger in town that you think I haven’t tried, drop me a note and I will make time to visit, even if some maneuvering around my challenging schedule is required! 🙂

The Elk at Solaris Mt Kiara is a convenient location. As soon as I was back from Hat Yai, I gathered a group of fellow foodies and headed there with high anticipation.

Hahah.. I know it would! 😀

Admit it, most of us love a good Japanese buffet. There might be many such buffets in KL, but very few offers both quality and value.

Thus this is precisely why the recent 88 dishes for RM98++ ala carte Japanese buffet at Tatsu stood out from the pack. I have heard and read from many who enthusiastically extolled of their meals here. And for the first time, just last Saturday, I stepped into Tatsu to verify those claims myself.

Below are the straightforward and simple terms and conditions for the deal:

1. How much -: RM98++ per adult and RM49++ for children 6-12 years old.

2. What’s available – Menu: A total of 88 dishes including soups, rice, soba, udon, handrolls, makis, sushi, top grade sashimi, salads, teppanyaki, hot pots..the list goes on.

3. When – validity: Lunch & Dinner (Sat, Sun and Public Holidays) – 12pm to 2.15pm, 6.30 – 10.15pm

4. Where – Tatsu Japanese Restaurant, Intercontinental Hotel KL. 1st floor

myBurgerLab – 10 burgers for dinner!

This is my second visit to myBurgerLab and I had to make it worth my while. The queue is horrendous, the wait is punishing, and the crowd is maddening.

Thus we figured that we might as well try all the burgers on the menu, and here we are; taking on 10 burgers at one sitting! :DD

There were 6 of us so it was easy-peasy. Too bad we forgot to take a group picture! 🙁
Well at least there was this epic shot to remember the night – here’s me gobbling down my burger and my foodie partners in tow, KC and Kevin. Best foodies friends they are; game for anything and has always accompanied me in almost all my eating adventures! 😛

It’s been 8 months of 2012! We are now in August, and almost at the end of it too. Time sure flies.

As I sat here staring at my calendar working out m schedule for work and travel for the rest of the year, I realized I haven’t shared about my personalised calendar from Intel Malaysia 🙂

It’s the Raya LONGGGGG weekend! :DD

I must say I’m loving it, for it meant a weekend of smooth traffic (it can’t beat the double celebrations of CNY and Raya though – that’s when the town is almost deserted!), long runs, food-hunts and backlog clearance of blog updates!

Other than burgers and cakes, I have recently embarked on a dim sum gorging spree. Over this long break, I have a place in Kepong in mind. And just last week I was in Jinjang Utara, popping morsels of absolute delicious homemade dim sum into my mouth.
