I started my day with some writing and a good workout. Yup, even on Xmas. There’s never an excuse not to keep the body and mind in shape.

After tasting my first dry aged steak in Skirt at W Singapore, I couldn’t get dry aged beef out of my mind. My plan was to visit Skirt monthly for my steak fix. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, with sudden work load and too many media trips.
Barely a month later from my trip, I read an online article that Beato Steakhouse at Publika offers dry aged meat on their menu. Shortly after, my friend Rainier showed me a FB post from his friend that Chambers Grill in Hilton KL has dry aged meats too.
Just a month back I sampled the aged angus at The Steakhouse on Changkat Bukit Bintang. While the steaks at The Steakhouse are good, I didn’t think it was really dry aged.

What a year 2013 has been!
I was in some really fun but challenging races this year and WON them ALL! 🙂
In Sept, I was in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong es-capers scavenger hunt by Accor Hotels (read –> HERE)  and we (my sole team mate & I) beat media representatives team from 6 other countries – Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, China, Australia and Thailand!
Yes the Malaysian team took 1st prize, and we were proud to have won it!
Lately I’ve been taking the chill pill.
I focused instead on health and took some time off for rest and relaxation after the recent bouts of back-to-back travels.
In December I had long days of shoot with Nokia for The Influencer, a youtube reality series which threw us grueling challenges (watch the video –> HERE) which pushed our physical and mental limits.
I accepted less food reviews and events invites, deciding to take it slow since I had no time to update my blog.
However, if there’s anything that I didn’t reduce, it was my workouts. I continued the intensity of my sessions; (3-4 times a week at the gym/runs) and recently Celebrity Fitness added 24 sessions of Personal Training for me.
