‘All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum’ brunch @ Lai Ching Yuen, Grand Millennium KL

In general “All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum” brunches are great for group dining and for those with an appetite.
After all in a buffet you are required to pay a certain lump sum upfront and thus you’re inclined to attempt to get your money’s worth.

Personally I’m not the eat-til-I’m-stuffed type.
I’m the sort who prefer to eat well, consume quality items and stop when I’m not hungry. Hence buffets aren’t good value for me.

Strangers at 47, Friends at 45 : 2016 new menu – new crepes, more savouries!

Strangers at 47 is one of the few cafes in Klang Valley that I hold in high regard.

This is my 4th visit over a year and both the food and service had never given me a cause for complaint, a testament to their consistency which is something very commendable.

McDonald’s : Foldover Lazeez Chicken & Mashwi (beef), Chendol Sundae, Bubur Cha Cha Pie

There are only 2 reasons for me to walk into a McDonald’s; (1) I’m a tourist in another country and I’m checking out their local McD’s for something unique, or (2) there is new McDonald’s product launched in Malaysia.

Rest assured I’m not an advocate of Mcdonald’s or any of its food.

So far I’ve tried McD’s in Australia (wagyu burger), Paris (McBaguette), Chengdu (green Chicken Wrap), Hong Kong (macaroni soup and corn pie), Thailand (pork), Singapore and Korea (Bulgogi burger).

For Malaysia the previous Lychee Pie was disappointing, and so was the Spinach Pie.

I didn’t managed to try the Foldover Mashwi and Foldover Lazeez last year so I had to have my curiosity satisfied this year.

And you know what?

I wish I wasn’t the curious sort.

Hyotan Subang SS15 : Japanese Omakase for RM155++ for 2 pax!

RM155++ (RM190) for 2 pax for an Omakase meal?
Is this an early April Fool’s joke?

Well, folks, April is still a full 48 hours away so this isn’t a joke though I admit that I was personally just as taken aback as you are when I got wind of this promotion.

At that price point, this could very well be the cheapest Omakase in KL/PJ!
