Garibaldi Italian Restaurant + Lounge is set to open its doors to public this coming Wed, 22nd Dec 2010. However, on Tues 21st Dec, the Lounge downstairs would be open but only for drinks and light snacks.

Holiday Villa – Christmas & New Year Buffets!

It’s hard not to break out into a grin when you are greeted with the sight of a whole lamb roasting in any buffet.

Sweetening the deal was a whole platter of oysters, freshly shucked and briny. Though I didn’t manage to snap a picture, the salad/seafood station was lined to the brim with fresh mussels, prawns & flower crabs.

Out of the many Christmas buffets I have browsed through for a foodies gathering this coming yuletide, I’m most thrilled by the Christmas Brunch by the Ritz-Carlton, KL.

I think it’s because after reading through Ritz Carlton’s Christmas promotions, I’m suitably convinced that Ritz is one of the few hotels in KL that will be bringing a true Christmas experience for those who are looking forward to the “Christmas just like at home” affair.

The rotating menu has been consistently intriguing, and has kept me revisiting religiously by the first week of every month. On the whole, NGS’s appetizers are simply divine, while the mains can be a hit or miss, depending on your taste & choice.

I have a tendency of choosing something leafy & raw as my starters, and the Herbs Blinis with Basil Cream & marinated tuna, fresh lettuce – RM25 fits the bill for this month.

New Year, new habits..?

It’s time of the year again, where I had to plan & budget for the year end.

With the New Year of 2011 looming close, I’ve got some habits to kick & I have identified new ones to adopt. Yeah, I guess you could call them new year resolutions of sorts..
For starters, I’m already on the ‘improving” my personality stage, and it’s taking quite a lot of work just trying to manage my temper. I can’t imagine how challenging it will be as I get started on the other aspects. LOL!
