There are many things NEW at Nerovivo, Jalan Ceylon.

Though not a new addition to the Italian dining scene in KL, Nerovivo recently shook things up a bit both internally and externally. Starting with physical renovations at it’s premises, it’s management was reshuffled as well with the appointment of a new Executive Chef Paolo Petris, a direct import from Italy as well as suave Restaurant Manager Alessandro Boneschi. Nerovivo completed the package with an ultra sexy Marcom personnel Rachel Lai who’s just very recently returned from South America.

Quite a dynamic team in place, I believe, and I had first experience of the new team at work just few weeks back.

The occasion was a sneak preview of Nerovivo’s Christmas Eve Dinner & Christmas Day Lunch Menus. Awesome.. Italian food and Italian men on the menu.

But I digress.

Chef Paolo started off the night’s programme by demonstrating his deft skills in shaping tortellini for our soup.

Starhill Tea Salon
‘The Finest Teas of The World’

The Starhill Tea Salon, opened a few months back, is the latest addition to Starhill Gallery. It is inspired by the fascinating history and culture of tea and is one of the first tea salons in Kuala Lumpur.
Located on the Indulge Floor inside the posh Starhill Gallery itself, the chic tea salon is a comfortable place to relax and perfect for a little afternoon tete-a-tete. I’m sure many agree with me, as the tea salon is abuzz with customers and activity each time I strolled pass.

For today, my highlight is specially on the Spanish CHURROS.

Yes, AUTHENTIC Spanish churros. Just like how Tan Sri Francis Yeoh had them during his annual trips to Spain.

Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur – Christmas Food Preview

I stepped into Corus Hotel for the first time in my life last week. A gigantic Christmas tree greeted me at the lobby, its pretty decorations sparkling merrily just as cheery Christmas wishes greeted us as we stepped into Dondang Sayang Coffee House for their Christmas Food Preview Dinner.

Below: The Christmas tree was towering impressively at about 2 storeys high!

More Christmas-sy touches dotted the buffet spread, and a whimsical cheer came over me. It’s hard not to feel your spirits lifted from all the festive touches all around.

“Around the World with Michel Rolland” – The Restaurant, The Club @ The Saujana

Here I am, back at The Restaurant after my initial dinner here a month back. Seafood was exemplary on my prior visit and today, Chef Alexander totally outdid himself with the meats. Perhaps it’s time to pay some attention to The Restaurant, as opposed to the other restaurants in town.

The new kitchen maestro at work has certainly shown much potential. At this moment, I look forward to more creative dishes from Chef Alex, rather than the usual Modern European cuisine of lamb, veal and halibut. Perhaps a more intriguing and exciting menu would pull the crowd here?

Tonight was a dinner highlighting the wines of Michel Rolland.

The Rolland Collection is a range of Bordeaux wines with 5 appellations from the right bank where the Rolland family originated, in Pomerol, France.
Added to this, they have their favorites from ‘abroad’, discovered when travelling for their work. The new world range are 3 wines from Argentina and 2 from South Africa, followed by Spain and coming soon, who knows what other wine or personal adventures lie ahead!

By now most people who know me would be aware that I’m one of the “Super S3” – a moniker given to the Acer Aspire S3 brand evangelists.

I’m seen everywhere with my light and sleek baby, as work and blogging takes up almost 18 hours daily and I’m never far from my reliable workhouse. Naturally, many have asked my opinion about the Aspire S3, with the usual queries on performance, battery life, sturdiness and how it held up against the other ultrabooks hitting the market now.
