Ninja Joe: latest menu – new PORK burgers and PORK hotdogs!

I do eat Ninja Joe burgers occasionally but with the recent explosion of gourmet burger joints in town I have found better satisfaction for my pork burger cravings. However, with the launch of Ninja 2.0; a revamped business direction plus a new extended menu featuring pork burgers such as Smoked BBQ, Tonkatsu, Cheezilla, Cheesy Mushroom and Hawaiian plus 3 new PORK HOTDOGS and sandwiches, it looks like a few visits to the nearest Ninja Joe outlet is warranted.

Imbi Hawker Stalls @ open air carpark beside Honda showroom – I love the Ampang yong tow foo!

I seldom crave for Chinese food but when I do it has to be really good.
One of the few Chinese food that I enjoy and do crave for is dim sum and yong tau foo. There are others of course (siew yok, char siew, etc) but I really really love my yong tau foo and dim sum!
I have yet to uncover really good yong tau foo in TTDI/PJ area and though I have read positive reviews on a few places in Puchong, I’m the sort who will travel for burgers & steaks but not for Chinese /local cuisine.
And so I don’t think I’ll be trying any of those awesome yong tau foo soon. But hey, is anyone here volunteering to fetch me? I don’t mind if I’m not driving! 😀

But I digress. Where was I? Ah yes, about cravings.

Now one of the very few cravings I get from time to time is for this yong tau foo on Jalan Imbi, near the Honda showroom and the famous pork noodles at Win Seng Heng coffee shop.

Ice Cool Igloo by CLEAR Shampoo Malaysia

Have you ever wondered how it is like to be in an igloo? Well, I have.

Have you wonder if igloo exist? I have too.

And since a trip to the Antarctica or the Arctic is not very feasible for any of us anytime soon, the CLEAR’s Ice Cool Igloo provides an experience as cool as it can get with a real igloo. So far the CLEAR Ice Cool Igloo had been set up in major shopping malls and at each venue CLEAR had been giving people nice ice cool surprises!

Yu Lin morning market in Chengdu, China

On the last day of our Chengdu trip, we had a late start to the day. I took advantage of the free time to visit the morning market. My guide Zhu kindly provided the address and forewarned me that the taxi fare from my hotel to Yu Lin market shouldn’t cost more than 15 RMB (RM7.50).

And thus I was up by 4am, finished a blogpost (one has to be disciplined even on a holiday) and ambled out to the front road of the hotel for a cab. I realized after 5 days here that it’s difficult to get around Chengdu or Shanghai (this is my personal opinion after my Shanghai trip earlier this year) if you do not know Mandarin. No wonder I don’t see many backpackers/foreign lone travelers around. It is definitely more advisable to stick to tours with an English speaking guide if you do not know Mandarin.

Meet Fresh Taiwanese dessert outlet @ Pavilion KL

Ice based taiwanese desserts has been a favourite of many and at one point the craze was at its peak when there were queues spotted outside these taiwanese desserts outlets.
Even I got hooked; especially so on a hot day when the sun, humility and work stress took its toll. A bowl of this was the perfect cool-me-down and it gave friends good reason to gather and relax while chewing away on those addictive taro balls.

How I miss those times! It’s been a while!

Tai Thong Mooncakes 2013 – Musang King, Limau Manis, Teh Tarik, Pineapple Sesame Crunch

Besides the limited edition Imperial Musang King Royale durian mooncake, Tai Thong debuted 9 other new flavours for this year:

Emerald Ferringhi:
A white-skinned chia-seed studded mooncake featuring earthy Cameron sweet corn and fragrant pandan.
My thoughts: I love it! I love pandan and I love the natural yet strong nuances of corn in the “yolk”. Using chia seeds seems to impart a sense of wellness and health. 😉
