I have always had high regards for Chef Johnny Fua and Sherson Lian. Both are one of the few local chefs that I truly respect. One is rather temperamental and cheeky while the other is endearing and cheeky.
I’ll leave it to you to figure out which is which 🙂

My previous dining experiences by Chef Johnny were at Upper Deck at GTower and another time during the launch of the Great Dinners of The World. After that I was honoured to be a guest of the Great Dinners of the World Appreciation Party where I met all 4 chefs again and had a superb dinner.

Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf – Bangsar Village I

Where’s there’s burgers, there’ s Rebecca Saw. 😀

If you don’t already know, I’m a burger addict. I love breads and I love meat. Pork burgers holds a stronger pull over me in comparison to any other meat but I would enjoy a good burger anytime!

After 6 days in Nepal, I came back all geared up to chow down some good burgers. I have in my list pork burgers in Ante, Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf and Moon at Damansara.

Since I have already tried Ante’s burger, I headed over to Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf (what a mouthful!) for some porky action.

The outlet was easy enough to find. Sad to say, it took over the space of our beloved organic vegetarian outlet – Country Farm Organics.

Since I knew what I wanted, I immediately asked for their Mighty Pork Burger but was suddenly distracted with the Tonkatsu Sandwich so I ordered that instead. The waiter took my order and then came back 5 minutes later to inform me that it wasn’t available. Slightly annoyed, I went back to my initial order of pork burger, but with the usual request of no mayo or butter.

The Apartment @ The Curve – “Taste the Ocean” menu by the Home Chef series

The Apartment has recently launched its new themed promotional menu titled the Home Chef series. Through this promotion, the Apartment will offer patrons a limited time menu focusing on special creations by the restaurant’s in house chefs based on a particular food theme.

This April, the theme is “Taste the Ocean” and I hopped in for a tasting session of the special menu last week.

Estate @ The Intermark – Bellinis & Black Velvet Launch by Veuve Clicquot

2 nights ago, I got invited to the launch of Bellinis & Black Velvet, a series of evenings at Estate featuring Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and decadent desserts.

The highlight was ~~the half-naked hunks that serves the desserts~~ the speciality cocktails, Bellinis, a concoction of peach or raspberry puree with Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.

Indulgence Restaurant & Living, Ipoh – my Designer Breakfast the morning after

I woke up this morning and asked myself “What’s for breakfast?”.

Immediately visions of thick fluffy french toast and poached eggs came to mind. I’m a huge huge fan of western breakfast. Give me toast, eggs, sausages and muesli anytime. Other than the occasional nasi lemak & dim sum, my immediate preference for breakfast is Continental or American.

It was while I was pondering where to head to for a good American fry-up did flashbacks of my indulgent Ipoh trip came into mind.
Oh, I love Indulgence Restaurant and Living. I love my Qatrynka suite and I love my wonderful breakfast the day after.
Let me share with you the breakfast that awaits me when I woke up from my slumber on the four-poster bed.

Yes I know they are famous for pork ribs. But no, I didn’t order any.

That’s cos I’m a pork burger addict and I was having a major craving for pork burgers for ages, which has to be appeased pronto before I start PMS-ing on those around me. 😀

FOOD: Chicago Rib House – 1 Utama, the “NEW” Old Wing

I thought for a while before writing this review, even wondering if I should.

In the first place, I went to Chicago Rib House after reading many many raving reviews online. Secondly, after much thought, I’m pretty sure ours was an isolated case.

Hence, I’ll be fair here and while I’ll still be honest & share with you guys what happened, I’ll focus more on the taste of the PORK BURGER (yes, this is another of my pork burger series) than dwell on the unfortunate “food poisoning” incident.

To start off my porky lunch, I attempt to allay the guilt by ordering a salad. This Oriental Salad (RM15.90) caught my attention as the menu described that the salad cames with mandarins oranges and a peanut based sauce.
