Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran Resort – my Lagoon Access Room Review

After 2 nights at the bustling town of Kuta, we were headed to Jimbaran next. Being a first timer on Bali island, I had no previous acquaintance of the island and I found out after the first 2 days that different parts of the Bali can be entirely different – Kuta, Jimbaran, Ubud, Nusa Dua and Seminyak. Furthermore, distances from each of these areas are really far; almost 40 – 1.5 hours by land at times.

Thankfully there wasn’t much need to go exploring as the resorts I was hosted in was too comfortable with enough food to keep both mind and stomach satisfied. This is especially so for Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran, where my Lagoon Access Room made it so convenient for me to jump into the pool that I did little else!

Are you like me; a person who enjoys traveling to Singapore for food, attractions, shopping and performing arts? I have traveled to Singapore for burgers, Jaan, L’ Atelier de Joel Robuchon, World Gourmet Summit 2012, Gardens by the Bay and also for the tour of the Marina Bay Sands Celebrity Chefs restaurants. I have been to Universal Studios twice and I love it.

Each time I come back from Singapore, I’ll lug Gardenia loaves (the only Gardenia bread that I’ll eat is from Sg), pastries and breads from Tiong Bahru Bakery and even Maison Kayser. Yes, there are some things that’s just better in Singapore, and for me that’s in the gourmet food department. No doubt shopping is good as well, though I hardly blog about my shopping spree. Perhaps I would be doing that more often this year. 🙂

Breakfast @ Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort – FEAST Restaurant

Hotel breakfasts are a big thing to me. In fact besides service, price and the accommodation (whatever the room layout may be – suite, standard, etc) the food served at a resort plays a huge role in my final assessment of the hotel. Maybe it’s because I’m a foodie? 🙂

After 2 nights at the Sheraton Bali Kuta, I’m transferred over to Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran, another of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ latest properties in the mystical island of Bali.

Tonight would be my first night here and as usual, here’s the video of my room. I’m currently hosted in the Lagoon Access Room with a King Bed. Rates are about USD240++ for this period.

Hi guys!

As you may know, I have just landed in Bali (yes, Shanghai, Malaysia Social Media Week 2013 and now Bali all within a week!) today and I’m recovering from my flu splendidly with the comfort and rest in my Deluxe Ocean View room.

It is difficult to get out of bed if not for the temptation of breakfast 🙂

We landed at 12.30am on 20th February and only left the airport at about 1:15am after waiting for everyone to clear immigration. We finally arrived at Courtyard by Marriot, Puxi after another 1 hour on the road. Sleep was well after 3am!

As some of you may know (via my twitter, FB, FB page), I’m in Shanghai now enjoying the 2-8 celsius weather!
Ok, maybe not so much the weather but nevertheless the thrill of my “inaugural” visit to Shanghai, thanks to AAX inaugural flight is keeping me warm to my toes.
