Happy Sunday all! 🙂
While I’m not sure about the rest of you, my weekends are generally scheduled for food hunts, may it be in KL or further. 😀

Today I finally had time to drop in at A Minor Place, an outlet that serves swine-ful delights that includes a mean pork nasi lemak and pork burger. It’s my mission to eat every pork burger in town so yes, I had my radar aimed here for a while!

I was so hungry and lazy that I only took pictures of my pork burger before tucking in! :DD My dining partners ordered the Aglio Olio and a Pork Chop each. More on those 2 dishes later but it was really the Pork Burger that’s worth the visit.

I daresay this is one of the rare pork patties that has attained an almost perfect texture. It has good structure; firm yet not overly dense. It retained its juiciness within (do note that could be due to the fact that I specifically requested for medium rare), and was perfectly pink with a nice, crisp outer shell. The flavour was balanced and most of its taste came from the meat, rather than any strong seasonings.

I’m off to Singapore tomorrow! 😀

It’s going to be a blast. I will be meeting and mingling with bloggers from Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, etc in one of Singapore’s most prominent blog awards event. I’m so looking forward to improve my network and my blogging skills as there’s much to learn from everyone present there. After handling some international blogging campaigns via my company Rouge Communications, I can confidently state that blog advertising in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and other countries differs in varying degrees from Malaysia. These international bloggers has a different mindset when it comes to advertorials and blogging!

As in all things in life, improvement and change is permanent. A friend of mine recently took on bold changes in his career. From an engineer, he went on to become a videographer and the next thing I knew, he’s one of the masterminds behind a burger joint!

FatBoy’s – the Burger Bar @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas

FATBOY’S THE BURGER BAR, is now open on G2 next to San Francisco Coffee, right opposite Ben’s.

No amount of directions given can prepare you for the maze that is Publika. So I’m not going try. You’ll eventually find your way around, after getting lost many times. :DD

I hope the management is going to do something about that. And do please make that SOON!

As you can see from the above, these lip-smacking burgers were good enough for me to revisit Publika. Publika looks set to be the next gastronomic destination in KL with titillating F&B joints opening up one after another.

Wallop Pork Burgers : SS2 PJ – It’s GOOD, wholesome pork patties!

Not surprisingly, another porky joint has commenced business in SS2 area.

What’s surprising however, is the fact that this joint sells ONLY pork burgers; and nothing else.

A simple shop with an eye-catching red signboard and even more straightforward menu, Wallop focus solely on it’s star product; which is it’s juicy, lean yet tasty pork patties (burgers).

Impressed with the ribs and porky delights here during my last visit (read about the luscious ribs HERE ), I was thrilled when Sean blogged that E42T has since expanded their menu and one of the new additions includes a fat juicy pork burger.

Another Pork Burger place tried, tested & reviewed! 😉

I got to know about this place from a reader, many thanks to her for leaving a comment & attaching the FB link in one of my post; or else I wouldn’t have known about this Uncle Ben Burger Babi.

I admit I was a bit put off by the name at first; well… I mean using the word “babi” so literally! It sounded rude somehow?
But let’s ignore that for now & focus on the food instead..

When I visited the FB page, I was immediately fascinated, for it was declared on the side bar:
“We’ll defy anyone to find a better meal than ours! Our meal is a perfectly balanced ensemble of 100% PREMIUM PORK patty, cooked to perfection, with oozing MELTED CHEESE and served with fine cuts of VEGETABLES. All wrapped up in a hot toasted bun.”

Wow! That’s like Uncle Ben calling out my name -” becky becky, come try my porky patty! ” Heh!

The opportunity came rather unexpected yesterday when a certain event left all of us hungry enough to eat a pig, literally. And luckily for us, Uncle Ben Burger Babi opened their 2nd outlet (stall) in Ming Tien Food Court yesterday as well! A good sign; I thought.

Pork Burger – Brussels, Jaya One

I came here under the recommendation of a reliable foodie who knows her burgers.

And I came here for the burger alone as I have never remembered food at Brussels to be memorable. So one can say this was a pretty straightfoward mission; get to Brussels, get a table, get my order fired & wait to devour the burger & split out my judgement.

The other half kept himself occupied with a Leffe, while eyeing me drumming my fingers impatiently for the burger. I just couldn’t wait to satisfy my curiosity of this “moist, juiciest ever & thick porki-licious patty“, as such was the lip-smacking description communicated to me by my friend.

Lamb Burger at SS2 Wai Sik Kai, PJ – Stall 24

I love my burgers. Problem is, good burgers doesn’t come cheap.

Ramly burgers may be wallet friendly yes, but are a no-no for me. Although I did enjoy Ana’s Green Apple burger with sambal (probably because of the novelty factor), I really detest these roadside, oily, overly processed meat + by-products patties passed off as edible burgers.

My recent discovery of an affordable, albeit small, PORK Burger in SS2 Wai Sik Kai, provided the solution to my dilemma for now. Since the stall has 3 type of burgers, I made a visit yesterday for the LAMB one.

Lamb burger with egg, RM5.80.
