The aunty manning the stall is very friendly. Can’t say the same for the Indian/Myanmar/whatever dude who was frying the patty. Quite an arrogant fella.

For a quick lunch, the set lunches here is pretty worth the $. For RM7, (not incl of 5% service tax), the portions are sufficient for a normal- appetite diner & it comes with iced tea.
This is Andes’ Yummy Mummy Lamb Stew. The first vision I got from the word “lamb stew” is the thick broth-y version with chunks of carrots & potatoes. Well, here at Andes, it got Chinese-fied.

I love my burgers. I think that’s no secret for those who knows me & follow my blog ;-). However, I got a particular weakness for PORK burgers and would visit food outlets just for their pork burgers & nothing else.
Andes BYO (Bring Your Own) at Aman Suria took over Pizza vs Satay earlier in this June. I personally thought it has done us all a big favour; for Pizza vs Satay was hardly ever operational in the 1st place. And we certainly welcome more eateries here in deary Aman Suria, especially one with WIFI! 😉
Ande’s comes under my “favourite under RM15” pork burgers category. No doubt places like El Meson, Sid’s etc serves superb pork burgers but for “Rebecca’s Porkburger-meter” 😉 they will fall under gourmet pork burgers between RM20-35 so comparison of taste, texture & flavour is more fairly judged.

Like in my case for this instance, it was in the form of a Tom Yum Pork Cheese Burger by MOS Burger in Thailand! 😉
Seriously, I barely had time/stomach to catch up with the burger-volution that’s taking over town.
First was the massive burger by New York New York, of which I didn’t even bother to visit after reading numerous blog posts on how horrible the food was. Then came the 12 – inch vertical monstrous creation of Cravings in Sunway Giza, which sadly reported to be as monstrous in taste.
Next, The Double Ultimate Skewers Glutton Burger in Skewers, Subang Avenue, of which I haven’t had the ..yeah you guessed it, time/stomach to try yet.
And just last week, at the launch of Chillex Cafe in Puchong Financial Corporate Center (wahh.. now Puchong got financial center, fuyoh.., what’s next? Segambut International Corporate City???? *sarcastic* ), I was presented with this gargantuan fella…
My first visit here was at their “opening night for bloggers” back in Oct 2009.
I remembered enjoying the salted egg plants chips and the ribs. But someone ordered the burger & said it was mediocre. Well, I’m glad to say it’s much better NOW !
Anyhow, months later, I’m glad to be back & to see the crowd growing strong. Admittedly I didn’t think it would have lasted this long.
Then we sat down with Ben, the marketing whiz of Craft Brews, & as the night progressed, I could see why. Ben blew me away with his wealth of knowledge in beers, his passion in his job as well as his affability towards his customers.
Indeed admirable, for one do realised, if there is no passion in what you do, nothing worthy will materialise.
Both of us (me & UnkaLeong) enjoyed the session immensely; & I learnt so much. Dear Hsu Jen provided charming company. Thanks so much gal, for the invite!
Oh, by the way..this place is dog – friendly too! 😉 Dogs lovers rejoice!
Note: We started the night with some craft beers but since the post is not ready yet, I’ve decided to post on the food 1st.
Food arrived soon after the beers; which was a blessing because the alcohol was gnawing at my stomach linings.
A complimentary cup of piquant Minestrone – like soup started us off on the right note & set the precedence for the sinful array of food ahead.
My favourites 😛 were the Spiced sausages in bacon skins (RM18), Caramelized Roast Pork II (200g of siew yoke!! – RM16) and Crispy Bacon Streaks (RM14).
