Hong Kong – Mcdonalds breakfast and corn pie

While I’m never an advocate of Mcdonalds or any of its food, I have an obsession for Mcdonalds in other countries.
There is always some form of local element in the food menu which makes it well, somewhat “exotic”.

In Thailand it is always about the PORK burgers while in Paris I had a McBaguette. In Australia a Wagyu beef burger called out to me and I gave in.
Yes, it was way juicier and flavorful compared to the other burgers on the menu.

In Hong Kong it wasn’t so much the burgers that tempted, but the breakfast.
Adapted to Hong Kong’s eating habits and tastes, the breakfast sets offers soupy elbow pasta (which they call ‘twisty pasta’) and PORK sausage Mcmuffins.

BELOW:
Good Morning Breakfast – Mixed Veggies & Egg, Mini Twisty Pasta.
Grilled Chicken Twisty Pasta – juicy grilled boneless chicken patty together with twisty pasta
For both you can either opt for the hot chicken or tonkotsu broth.

Just opposite from Clique Clinic (my default clinic for Coolsculpting and Q-Switch facial, with stem cells procedure in the works) is this small cafe Le Bread Days.

The one thing that catapulted the cafe to worthy fame is their salted egg yolk (molten) croissant (RM6.90).
For this price it is one hell of a good croissant. Rich, thick and decently potent in salted egg flavour, the molten salted egg yolk filling is enough to send anyone who is a fan of lau sar bao swooning.

WTA Finals Singapore 2015 @ Singapore Sports Hub

The Singapore Sports Hub is a massive S$1.3 billion construction.
Impressive and built with a clear purpose of propelling Singapore into the limelight in the world of sports, it houses a 55,000 capacity National Stadium and is Singapore’s largest all-weather sports and events venue.

While the new National Stadium is the jewel in its crown, the 35-hectare Singapore Sports Hub also includes world-class facilities; an Olympic-sized aquatic centre, a multi-purpose indoor arena, a water sports centre, hard court for basketball and a skate park, just to name a few.
For leisure the Singapore Sports Museum, a sports library and of course a shopping mall with a cool indoor climbing wall plus all the necessary hips brands made this part of Kallang the latest, coolest (or sportiest) place to hang out.

Well, the shopping mall is for sure. There are plenty of sports related brand names here as well as trendy fashion names.

WTA Singapore 2015: Public Draw Ceremony presented by Marina Bay Sands

I was in SINGAPORE (yes, again) and this time I was in the thick of things for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.

marina bay sands

One of the highlights of the trip (other than burgers and shopping) was being in the same square space as world class WOMEN tennis players at the Public Draw Ceremonies presented by Marina Bay Sands.

As you might know, I’m a fitness enthusiast myself. Consequently I look up to the icon of self-assured, successful and powerful women, whether it is in the business, entertainment or sports field.

During the public draw ceremony, the sheer magnetism of their influence could be felt.

Korean cafe in Damansara Uptown – Villa Ju Bakery

Villa Ju Bakery isn’t exactly new in the Korean bakery/cafe scene. This is in fact their second outlet after the original at Mont Kiara.
I’m glad that Villa Ju is closer to me now, for a affogato with 3 solid scoops of quality housemade ice cream for RM10.90 nett isn’t exactly common!
