This post adds together all the food I have consumed over numerous trips. And to answer a particular commenter in my previous post HERE; yes, we do pay for our meals. Leonard Foong is a friend & we (bloggers) are there to support him in the business, not leaching complimentary meals each time we are at Brotzeit!

This particular visit was a late dinner, hence the bad lighting & less than perfect pics.

A round of beer to start the night..

Pork knuckles (RM85), are a must.

No German F& B outlet is complete without sausages in its menu & we took the platter (Wurstelplatte) consisting of spicy chicken sausages, pork bratwurst, mini pork cheese sausages, weisswurst sausage, garlic sausage + sauerkraut as an all round tasting platter of what Brotzeit has to offer from its repertoire of sausages. Brotzeit opened with a bang on its 1st day yesterday.
And I’m not the only one who thinks it’s GOOD ok! Here are some people who went to try the food during dinner..

For me, I happened to be in Mid Valley for a meeting during lunch & was given the opportunity to sample some of their signature dishes, thanks to Leonard Foong & the outlet manager Mr Mohan. 😉

What can be better on a hot afternoon than a glass of super cool & smooth Paulaner yea? :yes:

Another Pork Burger place tried, tested & reviewed! 😉

I got to know about this place from a reader, many thanks to her for leaving a comment & attaching the FB link in one of my post; or else I wouldn’t have known about this Uncle Ben Burger Babi.

I admit I was a bit put off by the name at first; well… I mean using the word “babi” so literally! It sounded rude somehow?
But let’s ignore that for now & focus on the food instead..

When I visited the FB page, I was immediately fascinated, for it was declared on the side bar:
“We’ll defy anyone to find a better meal than ours! Our meal is a perfectly balanced ensemble of 100% PREMIUM PORK patty, cooked to perfection, with oozing MELTED CHEESE and served with fine cuts of VEGETABLES. All wrapped up in a hot toasted bun.”

Wow! That’s like Uncle Ben calling out my name -” becky becky, come try my porky patty! ” Heh!

The opportunity came rather unexpected yesterday when a certain event left all of us hungry enough to eat a pig, literally. And luckily for us, Uncle Ben Burger Babi opened their 2nd outlet (stall) in Ming Tien Food Court yesterday as well! A good sign; I thought.

Pork Burger – Brussels, Jaya One

I came here under the recommendation of a reliable foodie who knows her burgers.

And I came here for the burger alone as I have never remembered food at Brussels to be memorable. So one can say this was a pretty straightfoward mission; get to Brussels, get a table, get my order fired & wait to devour the burger & split out my judgement.

The other half kept himself occupied with a Leffe, while eyeing me drumming my fingers impatiently for the burger. I just couldn’t wait to satisfy my curiosity of this “moist, juiciest ever & thick porki-licious patty“, as such was the lip-smacking description communicated to me by my friend.

This post will be updated from time to time as I sample more dishes from Andes BYO in Aman Suria. For my earlier post on their TO- DIE- FOR PORK BURGERS, click HERE 😉

For a quick lunch, the set lunches here is pretty worth the $. For RM7, (not incl of 5% service tax), the portions are sufficient for a normal- appetite diner & it comes with iced tea.

This is Andes’ Yummy Mummy Lamb Stew. The first vision I got from the word “lamb stew” is the thick broth-y version with chunks of carrots & potatoes. Well, here at Andes, it got Chinese-fied.

Fancy your Bak Kut Teh fix at 630am?
For this place, the phrase “the early bird catches the worm” rings true. According to some reliable sources & die hard fans, Teh Kim Tek opens at 5 am and you will be scraping the pot if you arrive any later than 9am.

The restaurant boasts of 2 shoplots & for those who wish to breathe the “chi” of the morning, feel free to settle yourself under the trees right outside .

Andes BYO @ Aman Suria for Pork Burgers!

I love my burgers. I think that’s no secret for those who knows me & follow my blog ;-). However, I got a particular weakness for PORK burgers and would visit food outlets just for their pork burgers & nothing else.

Andes BYO (Bring Your Own) at Aman Suria took over Pizza vs Satay earlier in this June. I personally thought it has done us all a big favour; for Pizza vs Satay was hardly ever operational in the 1st place. And we certainly welcome more eateries here in deary Aman Suria, especially one with WIFI! 😉

Ande’s comes under my “favourite under RM15” pork burgers category. No doubt places like El Meson, Sid’s etc serves superb pork burgers but for “Rebecca’s Porkburger-meter” 😉 they will fall under gourmet pork burgers between RM20-35 so comparison of taste, texture & flavour is more fairly judged.

Andes BYO – Pork Burger, RM12.90.

Look at that, every pork burger lover’s dream isn’t it? Chunky, meaty, pink and juicy. All for RM12.90!
