Hello party people!

Hennessy Artistry is back! This time it’s going to be held at Kenanga Wholesale City (KWC) on 8 September 2012. It’s gonna be a night of pumping energy and block-rocking beats to elevate the senses!

Hot off raising the roof in Penang at the Straits Quay Convention Centre this June, H-Artistry returns to the heart of Kuala Lumpur for the second instalment of 2012’s Global Art of Mixing Trilogy.

Here’s a glimpse of what went down at previous Hennessy Artistry events:

Here’s Hennessy X.O KL Travelogue with Chef Edward Lee – Ep. 1 of 4, provided by PR 3 weeks back.

One of the most celebrated gastronomic events of the year is the Hennessy X.O Appreciation Grows dinner series, which was meticulously orchestrated by Chef Edward Lee last 18-21 April 2012.

As a foodie, events like this gets me all giddy with excitement; mostly in anticipation of the menu, where diners’ palates are bound to be teased and thrilled.

Hennessy Appreciation Grows Gastronomy 2012 featuring celebrity Chef Edward Lee!

Last year, I missed the Hennessy Appreciation Dinner by Chef Alvin Leong, of which I was naturally extremely disappointed about. Same sentiments applies to the Penang event where Chef Cheong Liew showcased his delicious culinary works at the beautifully restored Suffolk House of Penang.
Thankfully, my good friend Ling of Mezze was kind enough to invite me to be her guest for the Hennessy Appreciation Dinner by Susur Lee, else I would have missed out on it again.

The pictures for the post sat in draft for quite some time, but then I wasn’t invited as a blogger but as a guest, thus I was free from any datelines.
But with the next Hennessy Appreciation Dinner coming up TOMORROW; memories took me back to my sublime dinner that night; and of my virtual tour of the cognac house where it all began…..

AFC Great Dinners of The World – Appreciation Dinner

I will always remember my dining experience during the preview of the Great Dinners of The World.

That marked my first encounter with the jovial quartet of Chef Sho, Chef Malcolm, Chef Johnny Fua and Chef Sherson Lian.

For the cheeky Chef Johnny, we were introduced at the GTower Ramadan buffet and I was suitably impressed with his culinary prowess during my meal at The Upper Deck (post HERE).

Yesterday’s Mercedes-Benz Petronas F1 Team Bash was a blast!

The car was a beauty (well, we don’t expect anything less from Mercedes right?) and the venue; the newly debuted The Pool has reasons to claim their venue to be the next hottest lounge+bar+club in KL.

The launch of Grimbergen, a Belgian beer by Carlsberg Malaysia & Luen Heng

Though I’m not much of a beer drinker, I can’t help but be intrigued by the rapid changing beer-drinking landscape in Malaysia since last year.
Do you remember the days when it was just Carlsberg and Tiger as the primary choice for beer?
Now we have colourful and fascinating tasting beers from countries around the world. Last year, I was invited to a few beer-pairing dinners, which was most interesting to say the least.
Words like “wheat”, “hops” and “milling” were thrown about, with phrases like “floral” and “Hop flavor” intermingling in the conversation. My my, beer drinking is almost as sophisticated as wines!

Just this week I was invited to the launch of the Grimbergen, a Belgian beer. Now I know Belgian chocolates, but Belgian beer??

Estate @ The Intermark – Bellinis & Black Velvet Launch by Veuve Clicquot

2 nights ago, I got invited to the launch of Bellinis & Black Velvet, a series of evenings at Estate featuring Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and decadent desserts.

The highlight was ~~the half-naked hunks that serves the desserts~~ the speciality cocktails, Bellinis, a concoction of peach or raspberry puree with Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.
