Just opposite from Clique Clinic (my default clinic for Coolsculpting and Q-Switch facial, with stem cells procedure in the works) is this small cafe Le Bread Days.

The one thing that catapulted the cafe to worthy fame is their salted egg yolk (molten) croissant (RM6.90).
For this price it is one hell of a good croissant. Rich, thick and decently potent in salted egg flavour, the molten salted egg yolk filling is enough to send anyone who is a fan of lau sar bao swooning.

Where to eat in Sunway Pyramid: Ong Lai for local porky cuisine – Malacca satay, pork rice, pork chop

The deciding factor of my visit to Ong Lai was this, skewers of marinated pork named Malacca Pork Satay and from their FB page, promised to be the “real deal” with pineapple infused peanut sauce and all.

Hello By Kitchen Mafia @ Happy Mansion Sec 17 PJ

It is HELLO!’s soft launch today and though I shy away from new outlets especially during their first week of operations, I made time to drop in at Hello! today since I have always held both chefs (Chef Johnny and Chef Sherson) in high regard.
Besides, I was curious about the menu; in addition to my wish of extending my support to both of them.

Johnny and Sherson are not new to the industry and had in fact appeared in numerous TV (food) shows and orchestrated many prestigious dinners in Klang Valley.
A guest of some of the mentioned dinners myself, I was certain that lunch would be good and worth the Friday jam.

The Huskitory Cafe, Melaka : doggy cafe in Melaka

Out of the many cafes at Melaka one that is worth visiting is The Huskitory Cafe.

Its location isn’t as convenient as Taman Asean is quite a drive away (about 20 minutes from Jonker area) from Malacca city but its unique disposition makes it a novelty.

After all, how many dog cafes are there in Malaysia?
Maybe 4 -5 in the Klang Valley but none are huskies-specific. And for Melaka, this is the only pet cafe (no cat cafes as yet) in the state.

List of Penang famous apom manis – Swee Kong (Ravi’s), New Cathay (Mr, Mrs Ravi), Apom Guan & Bee Hooi (Uncle Teh)

I grew up eating apom manis on a daily basis, I kid you not.

The famous Penang apom manis stalls were all conveniently located near me as I lived in Pulau Tikus.
Zipping around on my trusty little bicycle/bike (depending on my age I owned either one) I would visit them based on my whim; what do I favour that day?
Would it be the sweet, coconuty crepes from Apom Guan? Or an added egg one from either the Ravi/Nathan of Swee Kong or Mr Ravi at Sin Hup Aun coffeeshop?

Apom Guan vs Apom Chooi PENANG – Review

It is an inevitable thing, to compare both.
I grew up eating both, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve never had a preference of one over the other.

It was a matter of who has a shorter queue at my time of arrival, though I tend to head to Apom Guan more often. It was merely habit, and also because it is nearer to the Loh Han Guo drink stall that I always patronized.

Pork free Nyonya & Hainanese food @ Hainantown Restaurant PENANG

When I embarked on my pork-free/halal guide last year I was confident that it would be a useful “handbook” of sorts to those who abstain from pork.

Pork-free or halal is not limited to Muslims, though they form a large part of the community that does not indulge in all things swine.
Others shun pork for health reasons or based on personal preference.
