I glanced at the many framed accolades of The Heavenly Spa at Westin Langkawi; “Best Luxury Resort Spa” in the 2014 World Luxury Spa Awards, “2011: Best 10 in Asia – Platinum Winner for HAPA Spa of the Year and HAPA Signature Spa Experience” and a few more as I sipped my warm tea and had my face sprayed with a pleasant rose scented mist as part of the welcome ritual.

Now, when did I start to get interested in cafe hopping again?
Well, since I got tagged on that “says” article by my coffee-loving friends Ivy and Kevin, and though I was quick to disregard it (heck, don’t you agree that those damn clickbait articles are just annoying?), I thought a few was worth a visit after a quick glance through the list.
So last Saturday I hopped into Second Sunday at Damansara Jaya.
On Sunday, I was here at JEQ In The House.
Yes, admittedly all not far from my home and doesn’t involve any more than a 20 minutes drive; because running a few businesses simultaneously doesn’t leave you much time for traffic jams.

I had lunch with a close friend late last week and we were on the topic of worthy-cafes-to-visit.
Other than Tray Cafe in Hartamas, which coincidentally where we were at, she mentioned The Porcupine Place and Second Sunday.
Now The Porcupine Place is at Puchong, so that’s out of the question.
Second Sunday however, was doable.

There are not many of us who had dined at the Tamarind Group of restaurants; possibly due to the location, or some of us may not have heard of it or had wanted to sample the food but found it slightly over the budget.
Well, I share your sentiments.
I’ve been to Tamarind Springs once, just because a friend of mine wanted to check out the location for a function, and loved the setting of the place.
For Neo Tamarind and Tamarind Hill, I was there for an event, long time ago.

This must be the first time I stepped into a brightly lit whiskey bar.
Clean lines, minimalistic decor with spaciously arranged tables, Ribs at The Burgeon offers a dining/drinking experience the exact opposite of speakeasy bars.
