Chinese New Year menu 2016 at Celestial Court, Sheraton Imperial KL – Pork Free

With a new MD in place, Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur is set to shake things up a little this 2016.
The F & B division for one, has already implemented some transformation.

My vote for excellent pork free dim sum in KL has always been unreservedly for Celestial Court.
I’ve on several occasions enjoyed ala-carte dining sessions here too; in 2013 we enjoyed sea cucumber intestines (I kid you not. Link HERE, check it out!) while for 2014 I remembered classical but adeptly prepared Cantonese dishes.

In 2015, there was an excellent poon choy that we devoured as well as an introduction to the Netherland Arctic Char Fish, which was certainly my first encounter with the creature.

Starting a habit – Anlene Move Programme: 21 Days challenge

I’ve shared about the Anlene Move Programme earlier and I am now ready to take on the 21 days challenge.
As I’ve mentioned before, if you take a step at a time, if you are serious about making a change, if you are keen to inculcate a new habit, YOU CAN.

Research has shown that doing something repetitively for 21 consecutive days helps to inculcate a habit.
For me I’ve chosen to perform 21 variants of plank moves for 21 days.

Molten salted egg yolk cake @ Softcore Sunway

What do you do on a Sunday?
My Sundays are pretty standard if I’m in town. I hike, I write and I explore for new dining options.

I’ve known about Softcore for sometime but the location was a deterrent. Sunway is one area I avoid like a plague.
On a Sunday however, traffic and parking woes aren’t as bad. Since I had a willing driver last Sunday, we found ourselves in the spacious and minimalist decorated outlet in less than 20 minutes from Bangsar.

I eyed the outdoor seating longingly but it was presently occupied by 2 large groups.

‘Darn‘, I had thought. There goes my photos.

China Treasures, Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) : Chinese New Year 2016 festive menus

Happy New Year and hello 2016! 🙂

It is that time of the year again where resolutions, well wishes and festivities are abound isn’t it?
I realized this year the Chinese New Year festive season isn’t too far off.

In fact, it is just a month away.
The Chinese New Year menus at hotels and restaurants are ready and various tasting invites have been sent out since as early as November 2015.

The earliest invite came from China Treasures at Sime Darby Convention Centre.
Undisputedly one of the best pork free Chinese restaurant in KL/PJ, China Treasures offers generally flavorsome chinese dishes which are prepared with skill using quality ingredients.

The dim sum is popular with many of my friends, both of Muslim religion and otherwise.
Likewise, for the ala-carte menu as the variety and price are fair.

My.. what big claws you Mr Lobster!
