The Boryeong Mud Festival is an annual festival which takes place during the summer in Boryeong, South Korea & lucky me happened to be in South Korea on the very same week! Oh my god! !!
How can I not go, right? Such perfect coincidence! And rolling in mud is absolutely my kind of thing!! 😉

The catch is, I only got to know about it on my 2nd day in Korea. So hence the whole ‘last minute trying to figure out a way to get there’, researching where is it exactly, arranging transportation & accommodation, etc; which is not easy considering the language barrier.
So I took the easy way out; I booked myself on a tour! That deserves another post on it’s own (some horror stories!). For now, I will just concentrate on the Mud Festival! Enjoy the videos!

This was very sudden. There was nothing except for the board (behind the girls) & I did walked past a couple of times as I was around the area.
In the evening as I was making my way back to the station, I passed by once again & suddenly these girls jumped out & started dancing!

International call rates to go “ Whoa! “ over!

I realized I have not posted on iTalk Whoa for a while. Remember that I posted on (HERE ) how I normally used the iTalk Whoa interface as my twitter client + email + sms + VOIP dialer?

Well, that has become such an ingrained daily routine now that it’s automatic. And so is using the phone dialer function in the iTalk Whoa portal itself whenever I need to make an international call for the company.

Yes, COMPANY. I created an account for my company on www.iTalkWhoa.com. And I got my clients to call me back on the iTalkWhoa too!

Because iTalkWhoa is a web based portal, I’m able to enjoy these same rates if I’m making the calls from anywhere in the world. Hence same for my client’s side if they so wish.

Let me give you an example. During a pitch we had with a Singapore-based company recently, I mentioned that I would be in touch not just via email but if a lengthy conversation/explanation is required, they can email me requesting for a teleconversational chat.

Naturally they thought I was joking & laughed it off. Till I showed them this.

California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC believes in constant refreshing & introduction of new exciting items, sometimes in tandem with festivals, sometimes for a bit of shaking things up on their already rather extensive menu.

Just earlier this year ( post HERE ) I was wow-ed by the chinese – inspired new items CPK added for Valentine’s Day & Asian Delight Lunar New Year Menu (think kung-po pasta & peking duck pizza!! ) & yesterday, I was bowled over by CPK’s CHEESEBURGER PIZZA!

During the previous review, I didn’t exactly like the taste of all the items as I find some to be overpowering; but this time, I was hard pressed to find any fault.

The cheeseburger pizza was probably the most anticipated one for me. Me, a pizza lover & burger – fanatic thought I would start dancing on the tables when I was told of such a lethal combo.

Affordable French Dining – Nathalie Gourmet Studio, Solaris Dutamas, KL

One might balk at the prices, after all, I did name my post “affordable” but try going to some notable French restuarants; namely Le Bouchon in Changkat Bukit Bintang, Lafite in Shangri-la Hotel or Cafe Cafe at Jalan Maharajalela & this is as Frenchly-affordable as it can get for middle class fellas like us.

Chef Nathalie Arbefeuille helms the kitchen here with her capable team & the open kitchen allows you to witness the chefs at work. All of them worked quietly, with concentrated focus & precise movements. Each dish that came out from the kitchen bears testimony of meticulous preparation from the raw ingredients to the final presentation.

Nathalie’s Gourmet Studio is an original concept by Chef Nathalie Arbefeuille. The outlet is divided into a professional kitchen (complete with long tables & chairs, ovens, etc for cooking classes every morning), air-conditioned dining area inside & an outdoor terrace for breakfast, lunch & tea, another main kitchen where the team prepares the meals for their customers & restrooms complete with towels & candles at a corner.

And I agree wholeheartedly, as it was a dinner nothing short of amazing.

Stephen Mercer, winner of the Australian Golden Chef’s Hat Award by Age Good Food Guide for 6 consecutive years!

As an invited guest of Executive Chef Kevin Cape, I languished in the company of 4 master chefs & had the opportunity to have my taste buds stimulated with Chef Stephen Mercer’s modern Australian cuisine. Yes, it was an excellent night. :yes:
