Ooh My Gas (OMG ) @ Pavilion – more liquid nitrogen ice cream/gelato!

I dropped in Pavilion for the soft launch of Ippudo Ramen yesterday (blog post next) and after a hearty bowl of ramen, I went in search of the liquid nitrogen ice-cream/gelato kiosk that opened just weeks back.

Ooh My Gas (OMG) is located somewhat directly behind the escalator, on the opposite side of Lavender Bakery on the LG of Pavilion KL.

VOLKSWAGEN The Beetle 1.2 TSI Review – To Ipoh and back

I sat over this review for the last 2 weeks pondering on how should I write about the Beetle 1.2 TSI. Frankly, as a non-automotive blogger, writing about launches and lifestyle-angled reviews on new models are the simplest. Your readers would already be interested to know more of the new model;  features, specifications and price being the most common and important facts that should be shared. That, and a few pictures of models (not necessarily hot) baring some skin usually works.

The headache about such an iconic model like the Beetle is – what is there to say that wasn’t said before in the news; both online and print?

How do you write about everyone’s favourite “round” car? Very few cars are held in reverence as much as the Beetle. So can I risk writing something whimsical? Can I say I didn’t like it? Well, thankfully I’m in awe of the Beetle as much as everyone else so it took very effort on the Beetle’s part to convince me why it deserves its iconic prominence.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon – Resort World Sentosa & meeting Joël Robuchon himself!

When I realized L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon started offering Sunday lunches from SGD49 (the lowest priced menu) last November, I realized this is probably the best bet I’ll ever have to dine at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon without declaring bankruptcy.  Ok, perhaps that was bit of a melodramatic statement but earning Malaysian ringgit can be a pain, especially when it automatically degrades you 2.5 times in monetary value the moment you land in Singapore.

L'Aterier De Joel Robuchon Singapore - Rebecca Saw Blog

November was a busy month and I had hoped that December would ease up a bit so I’ll be able to visit L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon for their Sunday brunch.  As fate would have it, Joël Robuchon himself was in town for a week in the month of November!
Thankfully I didn’t have any trips planned that week so I timed my visit to coincide with the week he was in Singapore. And instead of lunch, Rainier had suggested dinner. He explained that L’Atelier tasting menus would give me a good idea of the food in smaller portions and it would still comparatively cheaper than ordering ala-carte.

The All New F & N MAGNOLIA SHERBET Passion Fruit

“A Spoonful To Reclaim Your Inner Calm“;  so says the tagline.

While I won’t say it will reclaim your inner calm if you’re facing some idiots at work, it does help to cool you down from this Chinese New Year scorching sun.

A complimentary package came from F&N CREAMERIES a week back and 5 cute little tubs of Passion Fruit sherbet sat inside. It took only 1 minute to reach an edible softness, so I didn’t have to wait very long before I start spooning it into my mouth.
