Tiger Lily: Affordable and delicious Thai food in DC Mall, Damansara City!

DC Mall at Damansara City is slowly coming to life.

We were there to support a friend’s venture last week and we took the opportunity to explore the mall.
There is no cinema nor gym and the anchor tenant seems to be Village Grocer. Next year, five-star Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara will be welcoming visitors with 312 exquisite rooms and suites.

This area looks set to be vibrant soon.

For now, the building is quiet and empty and only a handful of eateries and businesses are open.
Parking isn’t free (in case some of you think it may be since it is not officially”opened yet“), the air conditioning cold and the floors dimly lit.

NGAM Tom Yum Noodles @ 1 Utama Shopping Centre

I’ve never had a chance to visit Ngam in Bangsar.
Their time in Bangsar proved to be a short stint and when they shut their doors, I’ve thought I missed my chance.

However, there news that they were merely relocating. And true enough, this week, Ngam resurfaced in 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
Located in the old wing near Popular and Chatime, Ngam is now within walking distance from my home!

So there isn’t an excuse not to visit now, especially when I know someone who is a big fan of tom yum.
Besides, I had wanted to support a friend’s business.

Good Thai food in Mid Valley – Tiffin’s by Chef Korn

I was at Tiffin’s just before Chef Korn decided to refresh his menu (earlier post –> https://rebeccasaw.com/what-to-eat-in-mid-valley-megamall-tiffins-by-chef-korn/). He promised that his new menu would be ready the week after.
Diligently keeping tabs on his updates, I was back at Tiffin’s the moment he was ready with his new creations. 🙂

Anytime is good time for good food, regardless of nationality. However Chef Korn’s village style Thai food combined with his flair, strict use of quality and possibly the most authentically Thai ingredients he could get his hands on has elevated Thai food as we know it to an entirely new level.
